Sometimes painting can be an exercise in technique and a test of talent. Other times painting can be a romantic endeavor in capturing one’s muse. The journey can be as painful and joyful as falling in love.

 
In the Luminous series I follow my muse blindly, as if she were a siren, just to see where she would lead me. Together we make wax billow like smoke; we find joy in subtle hues of white; we find color in the depths of darkness and in the end we see the light illuminating all that is good.
